CFMOTO in Moto3 World Championship

CFMOTO, as the first Chinese brand ever, will enter the 2022 edition of the Moto3 World Championship In a partnership with German Prüstel GP, which will be helmed by former world champion Thomas Luthi.

Through national and international collaborations, CFMOTO has participated in several domestic racing series in recent years. It has also been the only Chinese factory team ever to compete in the Isle of Man TT, finishing fourth just two seconds off the podium.

The Spaniards Xavier Artigas and Carlos Tatay have the honour of being the first pilots of this beautiful machine, which has the KTM RC4 Moto 3 as its base. This underlines the long-standing cooperation between the two brands where the team can draw on the experience and technical insight of its technical partners.

18-year-old Xavier Artigas scored a podium at his first Grand Prix appearance at Valencia in 2019, having previously placed in the top three of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. He worked his first full season at World Cup level in 2021. Tatay, also 18, is a former Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion and also a race winner in the FIM CEV Junior World Championship. He has since completed two Moto3 seasons.

The Moto3 championship thus gains a new constructor, who has big ambitions and has positioned himself stronger and stronger internationally year after year since 1989.
